Mr. Vasileios Loumiotis graduated in 1973 from the Department of Business Administration of the Athens University of Economics and Business (formerly ASOEE) and holds an MBA from Roosevelt University, Chicago (1979).
He practiced as an auditor from 1980 to 2021, initially as a member of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Greece (SOL) from 1980 to 1992 and subsequently of the Institute of Certified Auditors and Accountants of Greece (SOEL) from 1993 until 2021. From 1993, as a Certified Auditor, Mr. Loumiotis pursued his professional career with the auditing firm SOL S.A., where he was also a shareholder. During his distinguished tenure, he was appointed as the statutory auditor of numerous leading companies, conducting audits of their annual financial statements. He also carried out a wide range of specialised assignments, including special audits for stock exchange listings, business valuations, and the implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for a significant number of companies. From 2006 to March 2009, he served as a member of the Technical Office of SOL S.A. Mr. Loumiotis has extensive academic and teaching experience. From 1997 to 2021, he lectured at the Training Institute of the Institute of Certified Auditors and Accountants of Greece (IESOEL). Since 2006, he has been a lecturer in the postgraduate programme "Master's in Applied Auditing and Accounting" at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, and since 2011, he has also lectured in the postgraduate programme "Master's in Applied Accounting and Auditing" at the University of Macedonia. In addition, Mr. Loumiotis serves as Managing Director of Loumiotis Educational & Consulting Single-Member Private Company (I.K.E.).
